Title: Data Platform Supervisor - Hybrid (Franklin, TN)

Pay/Salary/Benefits/Perks: Up to $150k/yr

Work from Home Policy: Hybrid (Franklin, TN) - 2 days on-site per week

Interview Process: Streamlined process, 3 interviews

Key Skills: Databricks or Snowflake and 2+ years experience as Data Engineering Lead

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of data engineers.

  • Develop data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions.

  • Define and implement best practices, standards, and processes.

  • Drive innovation in data engineering practices, tools, and technologies.

  • Manage data infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Oversee data modeling, schema design, and data governance initiatives.

  • Resolve complex technical issues related to data pipelines, processing, and quality.

  • Collaborate with leadership to define data engineering strategy and priorities.

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for data engineering projects.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering

  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.

  • Experience with:

    • Python or similar languages

    • scalable data pipelines

    • ETL processes

    • data storage solutions

    • data warehousing

    • data lake houses

    • Databricks or Snowflake

  • Proficiency in managing data infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data governance best practices.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in related field.

  • Certification in cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer).

  • Strong project management skills, with experience in managing complex data engineering projects from conception to completion.

  • Experience with:

    • Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka

    • AWS Technologies: RDS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, AppSync, or EventBridge

    • Docker or Kubernetes.
